If we installed the beta CL Live drivers before do we have to uninstall them and then install the final drivers? Or can you just install the new ones right over the old?

Can Someone Mirror these babies? Sounblaster.com is packed.. i cant even get to the web-page. I guess so many people are getting the drivers.. phew,,, Sound Blaster Live! really does own.

Yeah, you should be able to install over the other drivers... i did, but If you don't have problems taking the time to uninstall the old ones, that always is best!

As for my Live!Ware review... well, I'm not having the problems with a hanging devldr32.exe on shutdown, so it seems fully functional. As for comparison to liveware under 98 and NT.... BLAH!! Support from creative under 98 and NT4 is soooooo much better than this release of Live!Ware. Sure you have environmental audio and 4 speaker support now, but in general (compared to 98 or NT4) the sound quality still stinks. For as great as these cards are, I would've had no problem waiting another month or so to get a Live!Ware coupled with drivers that actually let the card perform at it's full potential.
 
It seems to me Creative released this Live!Ware just to get people to shut up.
