Once again DirectX on NT

This is a discussion about Once again DirectX on NT in the Windows Games category; Dear all, I've installed the SETDX 6 files and done the patching as described in the readme. txt file but my games - i. e Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds still prompts for a DX version higher than 5.

Dear all,

I've installed the SETDX 6 files and done the patching as described in the readme.txt file but my games - i.e "Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds" still prompts for a DX version higher than 5. In DirectX in the Control Panel it says DirectX 380 is installed - and all Direct x drivers is set to 6 exceptDirect Input which shows NO version. DINPUT.DLL is not patched when i run the SetDX 6 file. I have not installed a joystick on my machine.

Example (all files excpet Direct Input)
Direct3D Version 4.06.02.0380 DirectX 6
Example (Direct Input)
DirectInput Version 2.380.04.0006 DirectX.

If anyone can mail me their correct settings from the registry as well as a patched version of the dinput.dll file I would be HAPPY

. Any other hints is also most welcome...
