"Parameter is incorrect" error on floppy drive
This is a discussion about "Parameter is incorrect" error on floppy drive in the Windows Software category; When accessing the floppy drive through My Computer, I am receiving a Parameter is Incorrect error message. I am unable to open any floppies nor write to them while in NT Server. Here are some other facts about the system: 1.
When accessing the floppy drive through My Computer, I am receiving a
"Parameter is Incorrect" error message. I am unable to open any floppies
nor write to them while in NT Server. Here are some other facts about the
system:
1. I am running an NT4/SBS4.5 server.
2. The floppy drive hardware is new and has been tested as being
functional.
3. I can boot the computer from a Win98 floppy.
4. I can copy files to the floppy while in DOS.
5. The BIOS has been looked at and the setting are correct and have been
reset and saved.
Any ideas what this message is and why I am getting it? It's making me
nuts.

I encountered the same issue and fixed it by installing the latest service pack. I can't find the link now but it's in the MS knowledge base as a known bug in NT Server.
