photoshop 5.5
This is a discussion about photoshop 5.5 in the Windows Software category; i can't install this program with win2000pro. when i open the setup. exe program the program opens with the install wizard will guide you to. . . until 99% and then the computer will read the CD for a while then the setup program justs closes.

no problems here, installed right off the bat
I'll be installing that this weekend. I'll let you know if I have anything similar happen.

win2k has those installing bugs... stuff sorta stalls a bit at 99% for me sometimes. but normally if i wait a while it will go to a 100%.
never had any problems installing it on w2k, only on my w98se, with certain nvidia drivers ...

I haven't had any problems with Photoshop, but I have had similar problems with some other miscellaneous programs. This usually occurs after I have installed a couple of programs without rebooting each time. Usually once I reboot, the problem goes away.
