PIO/DMA + NEC CDROM
This is a discussion about PIO/DMA + NEC CDROM in the Windows Hardware category; I have a NEC 24x CDROM which supposedly supports DMA, yet win2k always reports using PIO. (I DID select Use DMA if available) Any ideas?.

Check for a bios update for your board. This seems to help a lot of people. Especially if they have a via board.
