Plextor 8/4/32 CD-RW and DMA
This is a discussion about Plextor 8/4/32 CD-RW and DMA in the Windows Hardware category; I noticed that my Plextor doesn't use DMA-mode any more. I have enabled DMA from secondary IDE channel properties. It worked some time ago, but now it suddenly stopped. Any one got any ideas? I'm not sure if this happened after or before I upgraded Plextor's firmware to 1.

when you flashed your burner to 1.07 you where supposed to turn DMA off and Reboot before the flash,
if you did not do this it won't work after, so go and turn the DMA off, reboot and then reapplythe flash and see if it works.

It cannot run in DMA mode!

Tried to set first DMA of and then reboot and set it on again, but it didn't work. Then I removed secondary IDE channel from Device Manager and let windows to detect it again. Now DMA works again with my Plextor.
