powerdvd2.5 and win2k RC-3

This is a discussion about powerdvd2.5 and win2k RC-3 in the Windows Software category; They say powerdvd 2. 5 works as long as you install aspi. So where do i get ASPI and how do i install it? All i need is a software DVD player in win2k and life will be great! Thanks.

ASPI drivers are installed in Win2000...
You have a SCSI card?
You can get the latest ASPI update from Adaptec at : http://www.adaptec.com/support/files/upgrades.html#ASPI

Otherwise get WinDVD... www.dvdutil.com.. It works great with Win2k.

Somehow ASPI drivers are not installed in my win2k installation.
I download the updatedrivers from the link from default666. I couldn´t install because there was nothing to update. When I try to play a movie with PowerDVD it complains about the ASPI.

I need help! I really want this to work!

D/l ASPI drivers from Chameleon's site, http://win2kbox.cjb.net/ then upgrade drivers with aspiiinst.exe, reboot and run aspi32.exe, reboot. Run aspichk.exe to check whether aspi drivers are installed correctly. If the picture on the left side has green background everything should be ok

If it still telling that aspi driver is up to date, just change date...
