Whenever I try to add the printer to my computer, it keeps saying
"OUT OF RESOURCES
Printer operation cannot continue due to lack of resources. The print subsystem is unavailable. "

It's plugged in, and has power...and worked on my other computer, so what's going on?

HP 660CSe from 1995, worked well for a long time with no problems...could it be giving out?

It did work with Windows 2000 last semester.

It might be worth checking that the Printer Service is starting correctly, or indeed is still set to'auto' (take a look through the Event Viewer and Services).
I get the exact same message when I do anything printer-related, as I have the printer service turned off (don't have a printer at the moment).
