I Don't Know Your Card.
Does it Have Bios?
Configuration Like adaptec < Ctrl-A>?
is it Busmaster?

Hmm, this is some info about it :
- 32-bit PCI Local Bus Interface
- PCI Bus Master Capability
- NCR 53C810 32-bit PCI SCSI Chip
- Support Fast SCSI-2 transfer rate
. 5 MB/Sec asynchronous mode
. 10 MB/Sec synchronous mode
I have no problems with it in win98,
and i believe it has bios, not sure...
This is all i know...
Thanx

you Could Try reduce the Transfer to 5mb/s
Have your Parity/termination correct assigned
in concern with the writer.
does the cable edge conectors are on the writer and the controler?
I don't know if the problem it's soft or Hardware cause NT It's a more "problematic" than 98, and if your card/cd is not correctly configured it even could work on windoze 98

I already tried connecting the writer to both the cable connectors, both same
problem..
I really don't know where i can change the data transfer modes...
I'll check the software available for my card from asus..
Thanx, any other suggestions ?

No. Only W2K Compatibility problem with the scsi adapter, bad drivers.
Thank God, I thought it was just me. I have a Diamond FirePort 40, b2072 and have had the exact same problem. I have resorted to unplugging the drive everytime I boot. I hope it's finxed in 2128.

elvis do you have PCI sound card ?.
I use to have that one work just fine in Win9x system but not NT4 nor aka NT5 or Windows2000 RC0 with any PCI sound card
other then S90 sound from Diamond
