This is a discussion about PS2Rate in the Windows Software category; I recently downloaded PS2Rate for Windows 2000. I set the rate to 150 but on boot I can't even move my mouse. Anyone have a work around? The 100hz set by windows is too slow for some games. Thanks. .

Did you remember to disable "Fast Initialization" in the mouse properties hardware tab before using the program?
you dont even need PS/2 rate windows 2k comes built in with a program to do it in the mouse properties.

Yeah i know about that program but it only goes up to 100hz. I still have some blurriness and choppiness with mouse movement(no it isnt the refresh rate). I will try that fast initialization thing though.
I too had that problem.
I set the rate to 200 hz to fix the problem.
At 150 hz my mouse would not move at all.
Mouse Rate Checker reports only 150 hz though... I guess it is the limit for my mouse.
