q3 gamma problems. too dark

This is a discussion about q3 gamma problems. too dark in the Windows Games category; I have. 2195 and the 3. 65 drivers from nvidia. The gamma seems exceptionally low in q3. Im wondering if there is a good console command or anything in the OS that can be tweaked to make it look like 98, or NT4.

In the baseq3 dir, modify the q3config.cfg and find "gamma". You will find "ignorehwgamma", set this to 1, then find "r_gamma" and set it to 1.4, or whatever. This will make the screen bright.
