When microsoft ships the first public beta of whistler (beta 1) who will it go to, how many people, and how can you get on the list of people who are more likely to get it? ~.

Unfortunately its to late for the betareq thing. I am sure MS is more that happy if you subscribe TechNet/MSDN

I wouldn't recommend Technet unless you have a Modem. There beta's are Ooooooolllldd. If you have a fast connection your better off downloading them off the net and heck since you have Technet and you'd be getting them anyway it's not illegal!

I have MSDN universal. MS released usual the betas a few days after the release on the MSDN subscriber website. Sure you need a fast modem to download the OS (~300MB) or you wait a few weeks for the CDs .
