This is a discussion about red alert in the Windows Games category; I got red alert to install and applied the latest patch. But when I run the ra95. exe I get an error the exception Privileged instruction (0x0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x005c7c14.
I got red alert to install and applied the latest patch. But when I run the ra95.exe I get an error "the exception Privileged instruction (0x0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x005c7c14." I am running win2k pro on a p2400 with a 128mb pc100 ram and a asus geforceDDR. Yet I can run the rungame.exe and it will run the dos version with no sound.

I get the error 'The procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_12 could bot be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll'
I've tried APCOMPAT.exe and that doesn't help. Any other ideas?
