This is a discussion about RONIN - Have a question in the Windows Hardware category; Your opinion on the PIIIDME board. . have heard different things about the i8xx series but nothing about problems on the 840 series. . so I'll go ahead and ask I'm doing an upgrade to either the tyan 2257 or the PIIIDM3 version.

I'm doing an upgrade to either the tyan 2257 or the PIIIDM3 version..
main things are acpi support and are we really stuck with using the intel sound onboard (prefer the sblive)
also any other observations
current rig
dual 650 PIII
tyan thunderbolt w/ raid
promise fastrak66 duals
8 13.6 wd hd
creative dvd-ram
creative cdr 8x4x32
creative tntultra
1 gb pc 133 ram
the rest is firewire and usb stuff but you get the idea
