scsi scanner under windows 2000?

This is a discussion about scsi scanner under windows 2000? in the Windows Hardware category; i have a umax astra 1200s scanner and umax web site has no windows 2000 drivers, what should i do?

If you're sure there are no drivers included with Win2K for your scanner, you should call Umax and ask them when you can expect them. Many manufacturers are late producing drivers....some plan not to produce drivers for Win2K at all.
You might also go to the newsgroup search engine at dejavu.com, enter your scanner model, and see what other users are saying.

I talked to UMAX today about my 610S, they said they'd have drivers in the next month, so maybe early april, maybe not . . .

Well If it's only the SCSI card that needs drivers get a new Card but if it's the scanner it self .... your at there mercy. W2K picked up my HP 5PCSE right up after I bought a new SCSI card. Best thing I ever did
the scanner works better in @k thaan it ever did in 98.

i think its the scsi card and the scanner twan 32 or what ever it is
