This is a discussion about Services in Windows in the Windows Software category; Hi, I messed up setting in the services and stopped and disabled too many services, after a reboot, I have no sound, and the computer became very slow. Now when I try to enable any of the disabled services, I cannot enable the service.

I messed up setting in the services and stopped and disabled too many services, after a reboot, I have no sound, and the computer became very slow. Now when I try to enable any of the disabled services, I cannot enable the service. It says either says:
-cannot start plug and play
when i try to start plug and play it doesnt start
-depends on another service
tried to run or play all other services
Please help me

boot to the cd and run repair win2k see if that helps
if that didnt help
go to hdware manager, and remove all the devices in question. u shouldnt have to remove system devices.
when u reboot w2k will automatically reinstall and resetup all pnp devices
