Hi,
Im currently running Win2K beta3 and Win98 on a dual boot system. What I want to do is set my favorites, address book, mail files and so on to be the same for both OS's. ie Ive got Win2K on my D: Drive, but I want it to store the favorites in my c: drive (win 98) same with *.wab and so on. I know how to export address books between them but I want to just use the one data file.
Thanks
Bill

Adjust these settings in the registry...

OP
I guessed it would be a registry setting, but a little more info on changing it would be quite helpfull.
Thanks

I don't have Win98 so I can't test this, but open up regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

Edit the value for "Favorites" and change it to the path for your Win98 favorites.

Hope this works for you.

Sorry about the late response!
here ya go:
Bill,
If you can find the directory where the new .dbx files are (usually under
\Documents and Settings\<username>...), just do a search on the drive for
*.dbx) then you should simply be able to copy the contents of the old mail
directory into the new one, and Outlook Express should see them next time
you launch it.

Thanks,
