Hey I am sorry but I really can not help you out with your problem, because for the life of me I can not find the 4.0v of the Sidewinder software . . . .please tell me where you got it. . . .please . . . maybe you can email it to me . . post it on a web page . . .please . . there is a util that alows you to run a exe as Admin . .( Try searching the boards I think SHS wrote about it ) I tryed to find it for you , but cant

Man I really wish that I could help you out . . .I'll do a search again later on tonight . . I forgot what is was but is like su for Linux ( alows you to run apps as a Admin )
or at least I'll be able to test to see if it is your copy of the install software . . . .
