This is a discussion about Since Windows XP is coming out soon does that mean more supp in the Windows Hardware category; Like when windows xp comes out or is out for a month or longer will that mean more support for win2k like in games , hardware , apps , etc ? curious cause i dont know if i should go to windows xp or not since it has that emulation mode for win95 , and windows nt 4.

no Windows 2000 will not be dropped from support bases because windows XP is based upon the same technology as 2k is so therefore all 2k drivers well not all but most 2k drivers work in XP.

no will win2k beable to run all the games,apps,gardware etc that windows xp will beable too
my guess is that with releases of service packs and such, more support for games, apps, etc.. will be a possibility.
