This is a discussion about Soldiers of Fortune in the Windows Games category; ok right now im fuming. i got soldiers of fortune, installed it ( and the patch ) and it crashes the whole pc, every time. ive used every tip i can find, includin using power user accounts. i have the detonator 5.

dual p3 500, 256 mb ecc ram, 100 Mhz

Mine doesn't work either.. load it up.. gives illegal op call..
Well, I've had no problems. I had to play the game under Power User for ages, so was eagerly awaiting the patch.
Anyway, if u read the fine print of the readme, the patch won't install if u have made any changes to the original exe, i.e. no cd check etc etc...
I reinstalled the game from scratch whilst keeping my savegames and installed the patch, and now everything runs peachy.
spec is:
PIII 450
Creative TNT2 Ultra (W/ 5.13 drivers)
SB Live
