Sound problems !
This is a discussion about Sound problems ! in the Windows Hardware category; When I play a sound (music, games, movies) it sounds really really bad there's this hiss and crackle (u know what I mean), ie in the UT intro you can barely hear what the woman is saying. I have a SBLive value card, if that is any help.

Btw I first installed Live Ware 1.0 (please don't ask me why ) and then (I think) the problems started then I uninstalled it again and reinstalled my soundcard and let Win take care of the installation.
Any help is appreciated.

I have the same issue with my soundblaster Live. My sound works fine cept for a few games that I get a bit of distortion and crackling. I've tried a million times to follow the instructions on how to get liveware installed, and it does not work no matter how I do it. The only driver that I have been able to get to work is the one that comes with win2k.
It might help if someone who's done it would post a REAL help file on how to do it.
You see the thing is that they do work you just need to follow the directions and use the right SB Live! drivers if you use the web drivers it wont work you need either the Nov99 drivers or the ones off the live!ware 3 cd
