Soundblaster PCI128 recording problem

This is a discussion about Soundblaster PCI128 recording problem in the Windows Hardware category; I am using Windows 2000 Pro with a soundblaster PCI128. The problem is that when I try to record in Stereo (sample rate doesn't matter) the result is two identical channels. When I move the balance from mixer the channels are showing the same level all the time.

I am using Windows 2000 Pro with a soundblaster PCI128.

I installed for a while the drivers from NT4
and everything was allright except the known bug that the soundcard stops playing after about 3-4 hours and you need to restart.
If anyone has the same problem and has a solution please help me because I use my PC 95% for wave sampling and editing.
If some of you have the PCI128 and don't know if you have this problem just try to record.
Thank you for reading my post.
