You can use the windows help feature and click on "index" and search for sticky keys. It will tell you how to turn them on and off. Here is the clip.

To turn on StickyKeys

Open Accessibility Options in Control Panel.
On the Keyboard tab, under StickyKeys, select the Use StickyKeys check box.
Notes

To open Accessibility Options, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Accessibility Options.
To change settings for StickyKeys, on the Keyboard tab, under StickyKeys, click Settings.

Hit the Shift key repeatedly till the sticky keys config pops up. Click each settings button and uncheck use shortcuts for each individual item. That should at least stop you getting stupid warning messages during games and what not
