Sudden Restart with Det. 5.17
This is a discussion about Sudden Restart with Det. 5.17 in the Windows Hardware category; Probably anyone experiencend same problem? Since i've installed the nVidia Det. 5. 17 driver under Win2k i get random restarts, but one especially in Q3A when changing the resolution!!.

to my knowledge your windows 2000 is set to reboot when it gets a BSOD (blue screen of death), if you right click on My Computer > properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery. Then check to see if Automatically Reboot is checked or not.
As for the BSOD, you prob just need to reinstall the detonator 5.16 drivers, thats how i fixed mine.
