Terrible Photoshop 6 performance....
This is a discussion about Terrible Photoshop 6 performance.... in the Windows Software category; well, it takes ages to load a psd file. . . and what ever other move i make it takes ages to preform. . . anyone know why? i had one previos install of PS6 and that one worked fine. . . well except it crashed offten when i closed other pictuers.

i wonder if it has something to do with your dual-procs, because I only have one proc (pIII 700) and it works fine
I have a post just below this one asking the same sort of question regarding PS6. It can be fine for a period of time and then it will crash all the time. I have reinstall it and it is crashing a lot less but the lock ups do happen. On another machine running Win2K with PS5.5 there have been no crashes of any kind.

yes, but my ps6 does not crash, it just takes bunch of time to do things...it slow like hell....it like your are trying to run it on a 486 or something...
