That Pinball Game that Comes with NT/W2K

This is a discussion about That Pinball Game that Comes with NT/W2K in the Windows Games category; My wife loves that pinball game, and she wants to play it on her Win98 laptop. My wife loves that pinball game, and she wants to play it on her Win98 laptop. I've looked around for some way to install it on there, but eventually just copied the Pinball directory to her computer. It runs okay, but the sounds are real choppy. Anyone know how to get it to work (besides installing NT/W2K)?

The Pinball game for Win98 comes with the Win98 Plus Pack.

Ahhh... and I would assume that's an extra purchase for Win98?

Hmmm.. I just checked out the Microsoft Web site and they don't mention Pinball in Plus 98 (that I saw anywhere). Maybe it was in the Plus pack for Windows 95?

The copy of Pinball off of Windows ME beta2 works great on Windows 98.

Goto /Program Files/, there is a folder named something like WinNT or something like that... I just copied the folder applicable to the pinball game, and its running fine on a second PC running just Win98.

That's what I did (copying straight), but the sound on her laptop is very "choppy". She ends up turning the sound off, but I figured I'd try to find out some way to fix it for her.
