I dont know how u got it to install its not ment to run on 2k (the orignal DEFFINATLY isnt.

what the hell are you talking about man? the sims and the sims livin large ran fine for me on 2k, just because it doesn't say win2k on the box doesn't men its not meant for win2k....about the sound.....did you crack the game or download a rip? i bought both games and had to cd crack them becuase cd checks are annoying, cracking them usually left me with little or no sound and an invisible cursor.
I have the sims house party and it runs gr8 on 2k try reinstalling directx and make sure its directx8 - thats all i can think of...
Cazza you need to experiment more but yea it should work fine w2k
I got all three sims packs installed (Sims, Livin Large, and House party) and they all worked fine. I have a sblive value

a reinstall of all of all of the sims seems to have fixed the problem... thanks for the help guys.
