Thief--don't get any sound under Win2K
This is a discussion about Thief--don't get any sound under Win2K in the Windows Games category; Thief runs fine under win2K, but there's no sound. I'm using Win2K Pro, build 2195 with the drivers that installed from the CD. Half-Life and most everything else I try has sound. Should I install those leaked Creative drivers? I've searched all these forums and the Thief forums to no avail on this.

Those drivers that came from the CD? Are you using a Soundblaster Live!? Is that the drivers CD you installed?

OP
Doh! Sorry I'm an idiot. I forgot to post the card I'm using.
Yup, it's an SBlive! XGamer or something like that. I found the sblive drivers on this forum for download for Win2K so I got them, but I don't want to screw anything up. I installed Thief in Win98 and it works fine, except there's no sound.
The current drivers for my SBlive are the ones that installed with Win2K.
