Trying to run Ultima IX on RC3 Server - Does not work

This is a discussion about Trying to run Ultima IX on RC3 Server - Does not work in the Windows Games category; Hi there, I am trying to run Ultima IX on my PII 400,128 w/ Diamond Viper 550 and SB Live, the installation does not find and compatable video devices and crashes, so does the game at the begining, I tried to use newer DX7 drivers - does not help.

Hi there,

No, I just tried the demo which works fine now on my machine.

If you really plan to play U9 then you better get another video card (Voodoo 3) because the performance of U9 on a TNT (I used GraphicsBlaster) is so sllooowww (2 frames per second).

I use now a Voodoo 3 and run the demo in 1280*1024 with 16Bit Textures and full details. It smooth (Really ). Hopefully next week will be a german version of U9 available then I buy it . Can´t wait for this game.
