TV card IRQ?

This is a discussion about TV card IRQ? in the Windows Hardware category; I am planning to buy a TV card but I have only 1 PCI slot left and that is the one next to my AGP card with a GEForce video card. I am wondering if a TV Card uses IRQ and do you think it can share with the geforce? TIA.

Well, it depends totaly on your hardware and what TV card you buy. I got a Hauppauge WinTV PCI and it shares IRQ with some other cards but it works fine. Yes the card will take a irq and up to 90% am sure it will share it with something, probably the geforce card. I cant tell you 100% it will work but it should work...up to 99%. There is always a solution to the problem you might get into...well almost..

hope it helped...
