Udma/66 on ABIT BE-6 running W2K RC1
This is a discussion about Udma/66 on ABIT BE-6 running W2K RC1 in the Windows Hardware category; Is this possible, I have the stupid 7200 RPM/UDMA 66 hard drive runnin on the old IDE Chain and I can't find a driver to get it working on UDMA/66. Is there and update or a reg hack that'll get this working.

Thats not going to do it. The current drivers from highpoint do not support ATA66 under the final build of windows2000. I figure were ****ed until at least the 17th when win2k is officially released. Pissing me off too cause I wont actually use it till I can run ATA66 on win2k.
HI,
I've got a BP6 so with the same HPT366 driver, As I got it 3 weeks ago I was really sceptical about the driver that comes with it for NT4... But it works just fine. The only trouble is that this driver doesn't support the Hibernation function. I suggest that you get this driver from abit (abit.tw.com)and install it with the device manager. It should be OK.
