UMAX Astra 2200
This is a discussion about UMAX Astra 2200 in the Windows Hardware category; Help! I have a UMAX Astra 2200 scanner and it doesn't seem to want to work under W2K. It doesn't install at ALL as a USB scanner. But here's the weird part. . . When I install as SCSI, it finds it, reports it as an Astra 2200, and VistaScan and everything install just fine.

But here's the weird part . . . When I install as SCSI, it finds it, reports it as an Astra 2200, and VistaScan and everything install just fine. It can find the scanner, it successfully performs a scanner test. But when I try to actually SCAN (or do a preview), it can apparently only see the top 1/2 inch of the scanner bed, because that's the only piece i get.
Has anyone seen a similar problem? Is it my scanner, or are my SCSI timeouts set wrong, or what? Please help!
