Ultrix, please be more specific as to what you want to do I may be able to help you, but I'm not sure about what it is exactly that you are trying to do. Cause I have never had a problem of say playing a CD Audio track and having it being recorded at the same time to say a wav file.
Thanks

Funny, the exact same thing happened to me, except in windows 98 (now I'm using 2k). I thought the problem still existed for me, and just went to check only to realize that I have complete freedom over my mutes. Sorry I can't think of anything I did to fix it, but at least you know there's hope.

OP
Basically, i have a WinTV Theater and it has dolby pro logic output in front, rear and center chaqnnels. I want to input the front left and right to the line in, and the rear mono sound to the mic, then, in the live mixer, make it so the line in comes out the front 2 speakers, and the mic in outputs to the rear 2 speakers (i have 4). But i can't unmute the lline in and mic at the same time, it is one or the other. Win2k can unmute both together, but w98 can't, and there has to be a way to, i just need to find it out.
Wait a minute, you said Win2k CAN do it and Win98 can't... so what's the problem? Do it with win2k!
