Unreal Editor and W2K...... GAH!!!!!
This is a discussion about Unreal Editor and W2K...... GAH!!!!! in the Windows Games category; I see too many topics on UT. . . well i wanna make some levels for UT with UED! Anybody get it to work? I'm running UT v4. 05 and I installed VB6 Runtime files, and the UnrealEd4 patch, but I get the error Can't find 'ini:Engine.

Any ideas??

Well noooo f*cking ****!
I'm running UnrealEd.exe, I'm not sure if it was a joke or not, but if it was, it was a really stupid joke... does anybody have any real help to offer?

First, calm down buddy. We're all friends here.
Second, you are the one that's asking for help, so BE NICE.
Third, I'm running UnED just fine, and all I installed was the Unreal Editor Fix #4. It can be found at http://unreal.epicgames.com then the downloads tab. I don't recommend VB6 runtime. UnED is supposed to use VB5 and when I installed VB6 runtime, it hosed UnED (under Win98, don't know what VB6 would do to Win2k). When you install the Unreal Editor Fix #4, have it install into your UT dir. At 60%, it will complain about overwriting the Editor. Tell it NO, then YES when prompted.
Forth, check your UnrealTournament.ini and under [Engine.Engine]make sure that EditorEngine=Editor.EditorEngine is there.
When all else fails, reinstall.
When all else

Sorry for the bad joke Most people execute the unrealED in the wrong folder so I have to tell them it's in the system folder. Freak is correct about the Editor Fix. Give it a try and reply if that doesn't help
