Unreal Tournament Demo, RC1, TNT D3D, Work?

This is a discussion about Unreal Tournament Demo, RC1, TNT D3D, Work? in the Windows Games category; Hi Does the Unreal Tournament Demo work in Win2k RC1 in D3D mode on TNT based cards? The reason I ask is that it does not under RC2 using the beta 401 drivers. In any case, those drivers are dodgy and produce about half the framerate than Windows 98 on my dual celeron 525Mhz/Xentor32 system.

Hi

Does the Unreal Tournament Demo work in Win2k RC1 in D3D mode on TNT based cards?

The reason I ask is that it does not under RC2 using the beta 401 drivers. In any case, those drivers are dodgy and produce about half the framerate than Windows 98 on my dual celeron 525Mhz/Xentor32 system.

I was thinking of installing RC1 as then I'd be able to play D3D games more convincingly, and I'd also be able to install drivers for my ISDN Card (AsusCom), whose RC1 drivers don't work under RC2. Is there a good reason that I shouldn't downgrade? What will I lose?

No, I find the performance appalling using 2128 dual PII/450 (@504) with TNT2 Ultra. Fortunetly I still have a V2, so GLIDE is acceptable.

Tim Sweeney reckons that RC2 rocks with the NVidia beta drivers, so perhaps there is hope when these are finally released.
