Unreal Tournament sound problems

This is a discussion about Unreal Tournament sound problems in the Windows Games category; I'm running Unreal Tournment in software mode in NT4 SP6. I can't get sound to work at all. All my other games work such as Kingpin/Half-Life/Quake3/ And all my MP3's. The FAQ says to de-select UseDirectSound but I can't find that option anywhere.
