Unreal Turnament
This is a discussion about Unreal Turnament in the Windows Games category; Hi guys! I can't get UT to run under w2k. My system: 2 X P3-650 on BX440, SB1024 player, TNT2 Ultra. When i start the game the computer freezes after the startup screen. If i try to start in safe mode, the program just creates an error and stops again.

When i start the game the computer freezes after the startup screen. If i try to start in safe mode, the program just creates an error and stops again.
Anyone ho has an idea ??

Make sure that you have the latest patch.
Don't forget to install the beta D3D dll, download it from http://unreal.epicgames.com/files/d3ddrv.dll .
My machine locked up at the same place but the beta D3D dll fixed it (I have a GeForce).

thx - now it works
I DL the latest betadrivers at www.nvidia.com instead - now i works fine in direct3d mode. - just too bad UT doesn't support smp like Q3 arena
