My friend has a computer running windows ME. she has bought a camera,Kodak LS633 and althoughh the software runs and installed o.k.(Supposedly compatible with ME) She cannot shut down her computer without removing the software. (Kodak easy share.)If she shuts off the computer with it not closed down, it runs scandisk on start up.She is not on the net and cannot download the newest drivers.
Nowhere in the accompanying literature does it say internet connection needed. She cannot even register the camera without phoning them as internet connection is required. I cannot download the updated software for her as it requires the installation of the original software.(something I am loth to do)
Would internet connection be a requirement for all digital cameras? She wanted it to store images and print only those she really wanted to copy rather than the expense of developing whole roles of film when she may not want them all.
She will obviously contact Kodak but I wondered if this was a common problem.
