U.S. Robotics 56k Winmodem
This is a discussion about U.S. Robotics 56k Winmodem in the Windows Hardware category; For some i cant get my U. S. Robotics 56k Winmodem to work with windows 2000 (B2195) it recognizes the modem but when i try to dialup i get no dialtone or anything elese, it works fine in windows 98.

just leave it to dial silently, on my modem also the speaker doesn't work, but it connects fine

i tried that, when it tries to connect to my modem i get an error saying "Another program is using the selected telephony device. try again agter the other program completes". I closed all other progams but same error and tried using differnt ports
maby i should format my hd for a clean install.
