I have 2 things I want to do with my user profiles.

The first is to move them from c:\documents and settings\ (FAT32) to f:\users\ which is NTFS5 for security and privacy. The point is that if you copy the profiles to the new folder and set the path in the advanced user management it will copy the profile every time to the C:\ folder. I don't want this to happen, how can I set NT to use f:\users as the default profiles path?

The second thing is, if I have to re-install windows I want to be able to import the original profiles and retain the settings, like Dialups, etc, how can it be done? What I find is that w2k makes a new profile but with an extension of the computers name (i.e. user becomes user.MYPC-WIN2000 and the original profile user is left untouched.

All help much appreciated!
