vesa compatibility

This is a discussion about vesa compatibility in the Windows Games category; I know vesa is not compaible with win2k but I made a boot disk and went into dos and tried to load my old vesa driver that I used with my old Mach32 vid card and when I tried to run Privateer2 which requires it, it just froze.

I currently have a geforce2. Shouldint it work? Nothing from win2k was loaded, it was just pure dos.

newer video cards should not need a driver for vesa.... just boot into dos and try the game
