Voltage

This is a discussion about Voltage in the Windows Hardware category; Does anyone know the correct voltage for a Thunderbird 1ghz 200mhz fsb? I thought that I saw an article that said it should be 1. 75. My voltage is 1. 63 right now. .

Does anyone know the correct voltage for a Thunderbird 1ghz 200mhz fsb? I thought that I saw an article that said it should be 1.75. My voltage is 1.63 right now.

I believe that the T-Birds run at least on 1.7 volts. I have noticed though that the voltage may fluctuate a little. If your motherboard has jumpers or bios options to change the voltage give it a bump up to 1.7~1.75 volts. As long as you've got good cooling, you should be okay.
Of course, if you're running fine, no crashes/lockups, you're probably okay. On the other hand, a .05 voltage bump shouldnt hurt a thing.
