Voodoo3 3000 too slow
This is a discussion about Voodoo3 3000 too slow in the Windows Hardware category; I installed windows 2k 2195 with the latest drivers (Voodoo3 Windows® 2000 beta Driver Kit by Tristan 01/01/2000). But I see that all the games in opengl are slower than in windows 98 (processor celeron433a, 128Mo) It is in q3a that I see the greatest difference, in q3dm17 I have got 29fps on win2k and 53 in win98 ...

It is in q3a that I see the greatest difference, in q3dm17 I have got 29fps on win2k and 53 in win98 (same place)
I don't understand this and I want to know :
1) Is it the drivers ?
2) Is it the services that slows games (I run a default config)
Please Help me because I hear all the other poeple using win2k run games faster (but often on tnt2 based system).

I don't understand it, I have a p2 400 w/128 meg, v3 3000, and once I got the new 3dfx beta drivers installed, Q3A was twice as stable as then it was with Win98, not as jittery and my fps seemed to be the same as when I was using the Wicked3d drivers.
Weird Issue.... I have no complaints on this issue any longer .
