Voodoo3 refresh rates

This is a discussion about Voodoo3 refresh rates in the Windows Hardware category; hi, I currently switch to pure win2k, is there a way to chagne refresh rates for voodoo 3 base cards?? when I was using win98,I used voodoo 3 overclocker to change my refresh rates, but the current release does not allow user to adjust refresh rates in Windows 2000.

Entech, the same company that programs Powerstrip has a program called multires. It works just like quickres and adds the ability to change refresh rates. Very nice little utility.

There is a way to change the refresh rate in the advance settings of the display propeties. If you look in the monitor tab, there should be a box that's labelled 'Hide modes the monitor cannot display'. Untick this box and you should be able tochange the refresh rates. This also lets you to change the display resolution beyond the monitor's capabilities.
