Vortex2 Probs with RC3?
This is a discussion about Vortex2 Probs with RC3? in the Windows Hardware category; I'm running Windows2000 Pro RC3 with a Vortex2 soundcard(diamond MX300), and I've been having problems with lockups recently. The lockups only occur when sound is playing(i. e. winamp, mediaplayer, games, etc.
I'm running Windows2000 Pro RC3 with a Vortex2 soundcard(diamond MX300), and I've been having problems with lockups recently. The lockups only occur when sound is playing(i.e. winamp, mediaplayer, games, etc.) at random. Sometimes, instead of locking up, sound will just stop working. I've been using Win2000 since beta3, and haven't had any problems with lockups, etc. until now. Could this be a problem with the vortex2 drivers that are included with win2k? If so, does anyone know some alternative drivers I can use(RC2 drivers wouldn't install)?
