W2K reinstall

This is a discussion about W2K reinstall in the Windows Software category; I have Win98 on drive C and W2K on drive D: using a dual boot. I deleted everything on drive D and attempted to reinstall W2K. The problem is it detects multiple operating systems and halts the install.

The boot info for Win2K needs to be deleted from the C: partition. Boot from the Win98 Start up disk and at the A: type "sys C:" (without quotes). This should overwrite the 2K info. If not try "fdisk /mbr" to rewrite the master boot record of C:.
