Hi Jams,

this should be no problem if your monitor supports the refresh rate you want to switch to in the choosen resolution. First start the DirectX-Dialog(DirectX Diagnostic Tool and take the last register("More Help") Then click "Override" and change the "Override value" from default (think 60Hz) to the one you want to switch to. Now klick "OK" and save it. The next time you start a D3D-title(openGL shoud work in the same way) you have the choosen refresh (only if the refresh is too high for the resolution, the monitor will switch back to default)

Have phun

Thanx Zero!
I shall try that when i get home.

Do you know why it doesnt work by default?
Is it a driver problem?
Because i could change the refresh rate earlier with powerstrip with the earlier drivers 3.34 and 3.34! But now with the 3.53-3.55 drivers i cant!
I mean i run win2k in 1024*768 @ 85 Hz, and its no problem in win98 or Nt4, there it runs by default.

Well, I did know the trick using DXDIAG, but this doesn't change anything for OpenGL games (Quake2, Q3Test)!

Does anyone know how to force (or simply set) a higher refresh rate than 60Hz for OpenGL on a TNT/TNT2 card with any of the driver versions?
