Coming from the UK myself, I just want to say welcome..!!!
 
I hope to enjoy your time in England.. Just watch your phone bill from this side of the pond. BT aren't know for letting Internet Users off lightly with their call charges..

BT will suck you dry.
London pretty much has ASDL, cable, and stuff anyway. Stay away from something called homehighway (its just rewrapped isdn with a big price tag.
 
I'm on x-stream this now and its not costing a penny (0800). Admittedly it does take ages to get connected, but as I'm downloading beos I dont want to raise my bill past £300 mark which its at
