Wheel of Time (retail) with TNT2 on Win2000?
This is a discussion about Wheel of Time (retail) with TNT2 on Win2000? in the Windows Games category; Crashes right after clicking on any of the games icon (Change Video Mode, Wheel of Time Safe Mode, Play Wheel of Time,. . . ) so I can't even choose the right API or any setting. . . ARRR Patch ver 333b and the D3D patch ver 2 installed.

I know it works with Glide on Win2000 (as stated in the info found in NT Compatible), so it shouldn't be a problem with basic Win2000 compatibility...but what about D3D compatibility in Win2000?

Wheel of Time is based on Unreal Tournament. Unreal Tournament works best on these API's the best list first going down is bad
1. Glide
2. Direct3D
3. Metal
4. Opengl
Unreal Tournament runs fine in Windows 2000 so whatever prob your having might be with your graphics card.

Sure, I know that UT works in Win2000 with Glide, but what about D3D???
And if yes, then what about TNT2, or any other Nvidia chipset???
And if yes again, what driver version???

the game runs fine on my machine, i have installed it(from cd1 and not any from cd2) and then the 333b patch and the d3d2 patch
