I have W2k pro on a duel boot with Win98. I have an ISDN netgear RH-348 router. From time to time I have people come over and we lan together and share the internet. Ok here is the wierd part.....when we all were connected (4 of us) playing Tribes on the internet after about 30 minutes the router would just clog up and I couldn't telnet into it, only way to get it back was to switch it off so it would reboot. This would ONLY happen when I was using W2k pro, I could use Win98 and no problem. I think I remember reading something a while back about W2k sending wacky packets if it wasn't configured correctly. The router is a DHCP server and gives out the IP's. If anyone has any ideas please drop a post.....or a link to anything about it. I can't find that article or anything about it on Micr$ofts site Oh it did this just while we were surfing also not just gaming.

I find Manual assing IP work's far better,
& it good idea to turn off the DHCP server.
